Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a full time consultant psychiatrist to join the Mental Health Liaison Team at Fairfield General Hospital. This substantive role will lead on consolidating developments to meet Core 24 standards and support service development within the acute trust and across Greater Manchester.

You will work with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team and benefit from a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development and flexible working

Qualifications

• CCT in adult or dual in adult and old age psychiatry (essential)
• GMC Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion (essential)
• Section 12 approval (essential)
• AC approval or achievable within 3 months (essential)
• MRCPsych or equivalent (desirable)
• Endorsement in Liaison Psychiatry (desirable)
• UK driving licence (essential)
• Experience meeting duties under MHA and MCA (essential)
• Experience in MDTs at ST4-6 or consultant level (essential)

Responsibilities

• Clinical, liaison, educational, managerial and service evaluation duties.
• Assessments and interventions for patients in the acute trust.
• Work with a growing multidisciplinary liaison mental health team.
• Contribute to pathway development and service improvement.
