The Client

We’re working exclusively with a leading global investment platform that operates across multiple private markets asset classes. This fast-growing business is expanding its private markets legal team and needs a seasoned counsel to provide expert legal support across fund formation, structuring, and investment transactions.

The role combines core fund work with transactional elements such as acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate real estate deals. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to help drive strategic initiatives and manage the evolving legal complexities within a dynamic investment environment.

The Role

• Provide legal advice on private markets funds across multiple asset classes including real estate, infrastructure, and debt
• Lead fund structuring and documentation for new fund launches and acquisitions
• Support joint venture arrangements and corporate real estate transactions
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on fund lifecycle, governance, and compliance matters
• Navigate regulatory and market considerations relevant to unregulated and alternative funds
• Advise on fund flows, tax-efficient structures, and compliance requirements

The Profile

• Qualified lawyer in England & Wales 5PQE+ that trained at a reputable City firm (but open to those outside this range with strong credentials)
• Strong experience in the private markets space—particularly within real estate, infrastructure, and debt
• Familiarity with commonly used real estate fund structures and transactions is
• Open to corporate lawyers with solid asset management experience and exposure to fund-related work
• Strong understanding of fund structuring, investment lifecycle, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., AIFMD)
• Commercial, collaborative, and confident working across legal, business, and compliance teams
