Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Legal Counsel (Employment) to join our Legal & Governance team. This pivotal role involves providing top-tier employment law advice across the UK and internationally. If you are proactive, strategic, and have a strong employment law background, we would love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing:

1. Providing employment legal advice to all business divisions to support strategic and commercial objectives.
2. Advising HR teams and managers on daily employment matters, policies, and procedures.
3. Handling contentious employment legal issues.
4. Overseeing TUPE processes, including outsourcing, insourcing, and acquisitions.
5. Supporting corporate transactions and due diligence.
6. Delivering training and guidance to HR on complex legal matters.
7. Advising on employment contracts and related issues.

Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

1. A 2.1 or higher degree from a recognized UK university or equivalent.
2. Qualified solicitor in England and Wales or another jurisdiction.
3. Experience in in-house financial services is desirable.
4. Deep knowledge of employment law, statutory and regulatory frameworks.
5. Awareness of legislative changes and best practices in financial services.
6. Proficiency in IT systems such as Microsoft Word.
7. Approximately 5+ years' post-qualification experience.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
