We are looking for a passionate, experienced, hands-on Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team in London. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact as we grow. If you thrive on challenges and enjoy simplifying complex legal issues, we want to hear from you!
As Senior Legal Counsel, you should have a deep understanding of legal principles, a track record of managing legal projects successfully, and the ability to coach and lead high-performing teams.
What you will do:
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide strategic legal guidance to the business.
- Develop and implement best practices across the organization.
In addition, you will:
- Have experience working in SaaS or tech scale-up environments.
- Offer comprehensive legal advice across all areas of legal operations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure productivity.
- Identify and implement innovative, automated workflows using technology.
- Draft and review complex legal agreements and documents.
- Conduct legal research to support strategic decisions.
- Stay updated on legal trends and industry developments.
- Assess legal risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage risks effectively.
- Represent Normative in legal proceedings and negotiations when needed.
- Work with other departments to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
Experience we’re seeking:
- UK qualified with 5+ years PQE in-house experience.
- Strategic thinker with ability to execute at a granular level.
- Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Excellent command of English legal principles, both spoken and written.
We also believe you:
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can build relationships and present legal information clearly.
- Possess leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Experience with corporate law and corporate affairs is a plus but not essential.
Normative has offices in Stockholm, London, and Copenhagen. This role is based in London with a hybrid work policy.
