Job summary

Birmingham Newman University is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Primary Initial Teacher Education and Partnerships to join our established teacher education programmes and to drive the ongoing development of our Primary ITE provision within our partnership network.

You will lead in delivering and coordinating placement experiences for trainees, mentor effectively, and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teacher training.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable leadership experience in HE or a school setting.
• Experience teaching on Initial Teacher Education programmes.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and KS1/KS2 National Curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop partnerships with schools and placement providers.
• Deliver lectures and oversee trainee mentorship and placements.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teacher training programmes.
• Support research, enterprise and scholarly activities within the department.
