Job summary

Liverpool John Moores University seeks a Senior Lecturer to lead the International Relations and Politics programme, teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate modules and contributing to broader teaching within the School. The role also involves research activity and strategic academic leadership within the People, Politics and Communication Department.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD (or near completion), an HE teaching qualification or commitment to PGCertLTHE, and a track record

Qualifications

• PhD level qualification (awarded or near completion).
• HE teaching qualification or commitment to enrol and complete PGCertLTHE.
• Ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in lectures, tutorials and seminars; supervise postgraduate experience.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering high-quality teaching across modules.
• Contributing to programme development and academic leadership.
• Producing impactful research and/or knowledge exchange.
• Undertaking administrative roles as directed by area leadership.
• Coordinate staff work to ensure module, programme, enterprise or research projects meet standards.
