Job summary

Liverpool John Moores University is seeking two Lecturers in Politics/International Relations to teach on undergraduate and postgraduate modules and contribute to foundation-level teaching as needed.

The role includes programme development, academic leadership, and pursuing a visible research and knowledge-exchange agenda within the Liverpool Centre for Cultural, Social and Political Research (CSPR). PhD required or near completion.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline (awarded or near completion) with a clear research trajectory.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Ability to contribute to programme development and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering high-quality teaching.
• Contributing to programme development and academic leadership.
• Producing impactful research and/or knowledge exchange.
• Undertaking administrative roles as directed by the International Relations and Politics area leader, Head of People, Politics and Communication department, or Director of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
