Job summary

University of Central Lancashire is seeking a Senior Lecturer to join the MBBS teaching team. You will support the delivery and assessment of SSCs in Years 3 and 4, coordinating opportunities and supervisors, and contributing to assessment across primary, secondary and social care settings.

The role is based at Burnley Campus with occasional attendance at Preston and Westlakes campuses. Applicants should have NHS experience and a strong background in research methodologies, audit, and service

Qualifications

• Experience within the NHS and evidence of research methodologies, audit and service evaluation in a clinical setting.
• Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and a PhD in a relevant subject.
• Formal training in MBBS teaching or curriculum delivery is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the SSC Lead with delivery and assessment of SSCs in MBBS Years 3 and 4.
• Identify and maintain SSC opportunities and placement supervisors.
• Provide training and support for students and staff and contribute to all aspects of assessment.
