Job summary

The University of Central Lancashire is seeking a Senior Lecturer to join the MBBS teaching team. The postholder will support the SSC Lead in running student selected components in Years 3 and 4, secure placements and supervisors, and contribute to assessment across the course.

The role focuses on longitudinal audit and quality improvement projects delivered in primary, secondary and social care, requiring NHS experience and a PhD in a relevant subject.

Qualifications

• NHS experience required.
• PhD in a relevant subject.
• Experience with research methodologies, audit and service evaluation in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the SSC Lead with delivery and assessment of student selected components in Years 3 and 4 of the MBBS
• Identify and maintain a portfolio of SSC opportunities and placement supervisors
• Work with Phase 1 SSC staff to ensure a spiral and integrated approach across the MBBS course
• Provide training and support for students and staff
• Contribute to all aspects of assessment
