JOB PURPOSE:
With significant learning and teaching enhancement expertise, you will be an experienced leader of postgraduate teaching programmes within a higher education setting.BPP’s teaching qualification is available to all educational focused staff across the BPP Education Group which includes BPP University.This qualification coupled with our CPD programme ensures that our educational staff are equipped to create excellent educational experiences for all our learners.You will also be a key stakeholder within our CPD programme, contribute to our professional recognition scheme, and undertake learning and teaching related projects with colleagues across the institution.
Key internal stakeholders for this role to work with include, Heads of School, Directors of Programmes, Award Leads, Academic Quality, School Education Leads, Faculty staff.Key external relationships include a wide spectrum of regulators and professional bodies (e.g. Advance HE, OfS, QAA, Ofsted), representative bodies (e.g. GuildHE) and relevant statutory bodies and societies as well as external examiners.
The successful candidate will be appointed as a Senior Lecturer or to the academic rank of Associate Professor, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing:
As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for leading and managing the postgraduate teaching qualification across the BPP Education Group, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with institutional goals.This includes contributing to the Advance HE Professional Standards recognition programme and supporting the professional development of colleagues through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) initiatives led by the Learning and Teaching Enhancement team. You will also spearhead designated enhancement projects that align with and advance BPP’s strategic objectives.
The role involves close collaboration with academic schools, professional services, and business units to foster innovation and consistency in teaching practices.You will contribute to the development and external recognition of BPP’s teaching and learning profile through scholarship and pedagogical research where appropriate.Additionally, you may be called upon to represent the Head of Learning and Teaching Enhancement and undertake other duties that support the wider objectives of the department.
