Job summary

Ada, the National College for Digital Skills, is seeking a reliable ALS Manager to support SEND and inclusion across its London and Manchester provision. The role focuses on leading SEND/ALS provision, coordinating with external agencies, and ensuring high standards for KS4 to 16-19 learners.

You will line-manage Learning Support Assistants, collaborate with teaching staff, contribute to curriculum and enrichment, and help students progress into digital careers or higher education.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior ALS role within a school/college or similar environment.
• Degree level qualification in a relevant subject.
• Pastoral and SEND experience with KS4, post 16 or adult learners, understanding excellence in pastoral and SEND support.
• Experience as SENCO, ALS Coordinator, ALS Senior or in a leadership support role.

Responsibilities

• Lead on continuous improvement of SEN/ALS provision and embed inclusive culture.
• Coordinate with external agencies, manage EHCPs and annual reviews; represent college in meetings.
• Oversee exam access arrangements with Exams Officer.
• Lead creation of learner passports for reasonable adjustments for High Needs/ALN.
• Train staff on SEND support, lead CPD, and manage High Needs Funding with Finance.
• Support apprentices in London and Manchester with assessment and guidance.
