Job summary

Parrenthorn High School is seeking an experienced SEND support coordinator to collaborate with the SENCO and Core team, coordinating SEND students and Learning Support Assistants for one year group.

You will oversee SEMH provision, promote inclusion, liaise with families, and develop support plans. You will work with external agencies as needed, attend CPD and contribute to safeguarding policies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee SEMH provision across the school.
  • Promote inclusion and support pupils with diverse needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to apply effective strategies and resources.
  • Engage external agencies to implement required provision.
  • Meet with individual students and monitor progress regularly.
  • Communicate with families about progress and plans.
  • Develop and maintain support plans, including IEPs.
  • Monitor referrals and analyse data to show impact.
  • Attend required CPD and school meetings.
