Outwood Primary School in Heald Green is seeking a compassionate Senior Learning Mentor to tackle barriers to attendance and provide targeted pastoral support for vulnerable children. You will engage with pupils, families and external services to secure sustained engagement and improve wellbeing.

• Proven experience working with children or families in educational, social care, or youth-work settings.
• Deep understanding of barriers to primary school attendance and challenges faced by vulnerable families.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with adults and children.
• Extreme resilience, patience, and non-judgmental approach to pastoral care.
• Excellent organisational skills for tracking data and safeguarding records.

Responsabilidades

• Pastoral Support: Deliver 1:1 and small-group mentoring for emotional regulation and resilience.
• Vulnerable Pupil Advocacy: Be the safety net for vulnerable children and learners.
• Family Liaison: Build strong relationships with parents to foster trust and collaboration.
• Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work with local authorities, social care, and health professionals.
