Birmingham Children’s Trust Limited seeks an experienced Assistant Head of Service to lead our expanding residential care portfolio in Birmingham. You will support the Head of Service, ensure safeguarding, regulatory compliance and strong outcomes for children and young people, and build high-performing multi-site teams.

You will translate strategy into operational plans, oversee governance and risk, and champion accountability, learning and excellence across the service.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of children’s residential care legislation and The Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
• Significant experience in Residential Children’s Services leadership and development.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed care and children’s rights.
• Experience leading multi-site teams and coaching managers to high standards.
• Management qualification or evidence of equivalent senior leadership development.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across residential homes and support Registered Managers.
• Drive performance, quality assurance and continuous improvement in line with regulations.
• Shape provision to align with strategic priorities, governance and risk management.
