Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd in Essex is recruiting for a Head of Additional Learning Support to lead and develop a specialist education service for children and young people with SEND and health needs.

This senior role combines strategic leadership, service development, safeguarding, curriculum knowledge and operational management, working with providers, families and local authorities to ensure high-quality, inclusive provision.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within SEND, SEN, Inclusion or similar specialist education service.
• SEN/SEND qualification or equivalent
• QTS / Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience in an education environment (FE, schools, specialist provision or local authority)
• Strong knowledge of SEND, inclusive teaching, curriculum pathways and learner needs
• Experience developing and implementing policies and service plans
• Excellent communication, leadership and partnership-working skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a specialist education service for children and young people with SEND and health needs.
• Provide strategic leadership, safeguarding, curriculum knowledge and operational management.
• Work with education providers, families, local authorities and partner organisations to ensure high-quality, inclusive provision.
