Job summary

Northern LGPS is seeking a Trade Operations & Asset Servicing Manager to lead the function responsible for the transaction lifecycle from execution through settlement to a reconciled asset record.

Based in Bradford, Manchester or Liverpool, you will oversee settlements, custody, reconciliations and corporate actions, building a rigorous, well‑controlled operating model and managing a team to deliver accurate investment records and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in FCA regulated financial services.
• Deep post-trade knowledge in settlement, custody and reconciliations.
• Experience supervising a multi-discipline team.
• Knowledge of custodian and depositary operating models.
• Understanding of market settlement conventions and corporate actions lifecycles.
• Ability to design and evidence first‑line controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead Trade Operations & Asset Servicing across the transaction lifecycle.
• Maintain effective controls and complete asset records.
• Oversee settlement from execution to completion and manage failed trades.
• Handle custody, depot accounts and documentation.
• Ensure corporate actions, tax reclaim and proxy voting support.
• Provide information for Investment Operations reporting and lead a ~10 person team.
