Job summary

Northern LGPS is entering a pivotal phase as it builds an FCA-authorised investment management company. The Senior Investment Officer will support day-to-day investment operations, ensuring accurate processing from trade through settlement, and help strengthen governance, controls and client service across partner funds.

The role sits within Investment Operations and offers hybrid working with a broad remit to develop expertise across settlements, custody, corporate actions and operations

Qualifications

• At least one year’s experience within an FCA-regulated financial services firm.
• Knowledge of Investment Operations or Fund Accounting.
• Experience with settlement and custody processes and reporting.
• Experience with general ledger systems and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of day-to-day Investment Operations activities, ensuring transactions and records are completed accurately and on time.
• Process investment transactions, monitor settlement, and handle corporate actions on due dates with accurate records.
• Carry out daily cash and asset reconciliations and monitor settlement activity.
• Maintain records and systems to support FCA and audit requirements.
• Build relationships with partner funds and external providers to strengthen operational performance.
