Job summary

Northern LGPS is expanding its investment operations, creating an FCA authorised investment management company. This role supports day-to-day investment activity from trade through to settlement, maintaining records and processes to high standards.

You will develop knowledge across Operations, work with partner funds and third-party providers, and help implement process improvements while ensuring effective controls and reporting.

Qualifications

• Willingness to develop the skills required to operate within an FCA-regulated financial services firm.
• Knowledge of Investment Operations or Fund Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support trading activity and the processing of investment transactions, including purchases, sales and corporate actions.
• Monitor investment transactions to ensure settlement has taken place and follow up if needed.
• Process voluntary corporate events on appropriate due dates and maintain accurate records.
• Carry out daily cash and asset reconciliations and support the monitoring of settlement activity.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of business-as-usual activity, ensuring systems support FCA/audit requirements.
• Respond to investment transaction queries from partner funds and regulatory bodies.
• Work within internal controls to meet SLA, KPI and KRI reporting requirements.
• Build knowledge across Operations and how teams interact across Northern LGPS.
