Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in the UK is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to advance secure, scalable data platforms in our Corporate Sector Data Engineering team. You will drive architecture, set engineering standards, and mentor multiple teams to deliver high-impact data solutions.

You will work on Know Your Customer and risk data workflows, design agentic AI systems with human-in-the-loop controls, and partner with senior leaders to shape the technology landscape.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability at enterprise scale.
• Experience designing and deploying production AI/ML systems, including LLM-based applications and agentic architectures in regulated environments.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark.
• Advanced knowledge of software development, cloud, AI/ML, or data engineering practices.
• Experience with large-scale data processing, microservices, APIs, and orchestration frameworks.
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data lakes, and vector stores.
• Strong communication with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Commitment to inclusive, collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and review work of other engineers to promote best practices.
