As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology Market Risk team, you will lead the rapid expansion of a strategic visualization and reporting platform. You will be an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot technical issues, thinking beyond routine approaches to build solutions or solve complex problems.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others.
• Collaborate with platform leaders, product managers, product owners, scrum masters, and UX teams to ensure smooth delivery of features and solutions.
• Contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide and Risk Technology frameworks, tools, standards, and SDLC practices.
• Influence peers and decision-makers to adopt and apply strategic, leading-edge technologies.
• Lead by developing a high-performing, dynamic team and help minimize impediments to development progress.
• Independently address design and functionality challenges with minimal oversight.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification in Computer Science concepts and advanced practical experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Expertise in React, including best practices for UI engineering, CSS, browser support, responsiveness, accessibility, tooling, build strategies, and enterprise scalability.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and experience with tools like ag-grid, Highcharts, d3, along with cloud experience.
• Design and implement data sourcing strategies, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and seamless integration from various sources.
• Stay informed about legal and regulatory requirements related to Market Risk reporting and ensure platform compliance.
