At Praktika.ai we are on a mission to deliver efficient and engaging learning experiences for billions of students worldwide by bridging the gap between learning apps and human tutors.

We have done this by creating a fully automated language tutorship experience powered by generative AI Avatars. After raising $30 million in Series-A funding, we are growing and looking for a Senior/Lead Product Designer to join us!

We are a global small team of 40 innovators who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in language learning and tutoring.

In this fast-paced environment we like independent self-starters who can work well in a team as well as unassisted and who enjoy the working environment of an early-stage startup.

We’re looking for a Lead/Product Designer with deep experience in UX/UI for our mobile consumer apps — someone ready to craft an entirely new user experience from the ground up. If you’re passionate about intuitive design, hands-on with interaction flows, and driven by user empathy, this is your chance to help shape something groundbreaking.

What You’ll Do with us:

Design Next-Gen Mobile Experiences

Help lead the end-to-end UX/UI design of our mobile consumer app, from concept to pixel-perfect execution.

Craft user-friendly, accessible, and visually compelling interfaces that blend simplicity with innovation.

Lead the user journey and interface design around avatar-based conversation, creating seamless interactions.

Leverage AI to Reimagine Interaction

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design novel interfaces powered by AI assistants.

Explore and prototype new interaction patterns that feel intuitive, human, and forward-thinking.

Champion the User

Conduct user research, gather feedback, and iterate designs based on real insights.

Use data, user testing, and heuristics to optimize for clarity, usability, and engagement.

Build with a Tight-Knit Team

Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Translate bold ideas into designs that can be shipped quickly and scaled thoughtfully.

What You Bring

Proven experience designing end-to-end UX/UI for high-quality consumer mobile apps.

A portfolio that showcases strong interaction design, visual polish, and systems thinking.

Familiarity with AI assistant technologies and interest in shaping novel interaction models.

A user-centered mindset with a deep understanding of usability, accessibility, and mobile design best practices.

Experience conducting or working with user research and usability testing.

Comfort with design tools like Figma, and ideally, prototyping tools like Protopie or Framer.

A desire to push boundaries and explore new paradigms in mobile design.
