Job Description:

ECOM Recruitment is proud to partner with an award-winning consultancy in Manchester seeking a Senior or Lead Platform Engineer. This role can be permanent or a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will lead the design, planning, and implementation of DevOps strategies, collaborating with teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver modern solutions.

Your responsibilities include developing CI/CD pipelines, selecting automation tools, mentoring colleagues, and staying updated with industry trends. Key requirements:

1. Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, including zero-downtime deployment.
2. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud environments.
3. Understanding of distributed systems and container orchestration.
4. Experience with Git, scripting, and automated testing.
5. Knowledge of security practices and automated vulnerability management.
6. Leadership and mentoring skills.
7. Experience in Agile environments.

Skills and tools include GitHub Actions, Terraform, AWS services, Docker, and more. Preferred experience includes consultancy background and familiarity with Azure or Google Cloud.

This position is based in South Manchester, requiring onsite presence five days a week. Candidates must have full UK working rights; sponsorship is not available.
