Herefordshire Council is seeking a highly motivated Senior Lawyer (Contracts, Procurement and Major Projects) based in Hereford. You will join a small team of lawyers handling contracts, grants, procurement and commercial law, providing robust legal advice to council departments.

You will manage your own caseload, demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, and help drive improvements within the Legal Services Team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Legal Executive; CiLEX fellowship.
• Experience and knowledge of subsidy control, company law, contract and procurement law; drafting contracts including JCT/NEC4.
• Knowledge of Data Protection legislation advantageous.
• Ability to work unsupervised, manage own caseload, with excellent communication and analytical skills; deputise as required.
