A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Senior Lawyer for children and families legal work in Manchester. This hybrid role requires strong advocacy skills and a practising certificate. You will provide legal advice to the councils and build client relationships. Ideal candidates should have excellent communication and analytical skills. The position is full-time, offering competitive pay of £25 per hour with a contract until February 2026.
Senior Lawyer (Children & Families Legal) Manchester City
Location: Manchester City (Hybrid - Attendance at the office/ in person hearing required as a minimum fortnightly).
Salary: £25 per hour.
Full Time Monday to Friday 37 hours.
Contract: Up to 28th February 2026 possibly beyond.
Must have a practising certificate
Advocacy must be undertaken and is non-negotiable.
The role holder will provide effective advice and representation on complex legal work and projects of importance to Manchester and Salford City Councils and, where appropriate, to external bodies.
The role holder will actively contribute to the professional development of the service and will have a proactive and positive manner.
