Job summary

Ground Control is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead landscape construction delivery across the region, balancing hands-on project work with regional accountability. You’ll oversee a portfolio from £30,000 to £10 million, manage Construction and Site Managers, drive growth and ensure safe, profitable projects.

This field-based role offers a mix of office, site and home-based work, with strong client engagement and regional team development as priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within the construction industry
• At least 3 years' experience in landscape construction or related sector
• Proven experience delivering commercial construction projects to completion
• Experience managing multiple projects, teams and stakeholders
• Strong leadership including line management of managers
• Excellent commercial acumen including P&L, forecasting and margins
• Working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-related software

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop Construction Managers and Site Managers across the region.
• Deliver own portfolio of landscape construction projects from award to completion.
• Oversee the wider regional programme, ensuring projects are on time and within budget.
• Manage resources including labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex operational, commercial and contractual matters.
