Senior Landscape Architect – Infrastructure (London Studio)

A well-established and award-winning UK-based consultancy is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to join their London team. This practice has built a strong reputation for delivering creative leadership across nationally significant infrastructure projects, including large-scale transport systems, renewable energy developments, and essential water infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be a motivated and experienced professional who can contribute meaningfully to the planning and design of complex infrastructure projects, with experience across pre-planning, post-planning, and pre-delivery stages. The team is particularly interested in those who combine landscape-scale thinking with design flair and a strong grasp of sustainable development principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the design and planning of complex infrastructure projects, embedding high-quality, context-led landscape design at every stage.

Apply a strong understanding of NSIP consenting regimes (DCO, DNS, Electricity Act, Town & Country Planning).
*

Collaborate within and lead multi-disciplinary project teams, engaging in early design development, consultation, and public engagement.
*

Demonstrate thought leadership in areas such as EIA, design principles, and Biodiversity Net Gain.
*

Build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships, and support business development activities through networking and tendering.

Ideal Candidate:

A degree in Landscape Architecture and professional accreditation (CMLI or working towards).

A solid background in infrastructure landscape design, preferably within a consultancy environment.

Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate and communicate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
*

A strategic thinker with a clear understanding of the role of landscape and ecosystem services in driving sustainable infrastructure.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident representing clients in public and stakeholder forums.

A collaborative team player with a personable, proactive approach.
