Taylor2Recruitment Ltd are recruiting a Senior Landscape Architect to join a prestigious practice in the UK. You will lead high-end domestic and commercial landscape schemes, manage design processes, and present concepts to clients while building lasting relationships.

The role is hybrid with three days in the office, requiring strong skills in site analysis, planting design, and software such as AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp and Photoshop.

Qualifications

• Degree in landscape architecture or diploma in garden design.
• Strong design skills and ability to translate site analysis into a coordinated design.
• Knowledge of planting styles.
• Experience using 2D AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp and Photoshop.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Organised, analytical and time-efficient.
• Understanding of planning legislation and landscape construction techniques.
• Hybrid role with three days in the office.

Responsibilities

• Manage and programme the deliverables on projects through each Workstage to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Manage the design process and act as a primary point of contact for clients, presenting design concepts and helping to build long-term relationships.
• Coordinate tender packages, specifications, presentations, and other documents as part of the design process.
• Lead the health and safety obligations of a designer for all projects, and assist junior designers with H&S compliance.
• Support the Design Director and Head of Studio in day-to-day resource management of the department.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor junior staff, supporting their development and career growth.
• Contribute to fee proposals, bid writing, and work-winning activities to support studio growth

Senior Landscape Architect

Do you want to work with one the countries, prestigious Landscape business, working within the high end Domestic and Commercial Landscape Sector

You'll join in with our company events and socials where possible, helping to build a collaborative work environment.

You'll liaise with external design team members and address coordination issues.

You'll attend regular CPD sessions and events, including design crits and knowledge sharing sessions in the office.

You'll work closely with other members of staff including designers, foremen, site and maintenance operatives, and the admin team to achieve project and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Your Skills & Experience

You'll have a degree in landscape architecture, but we'll also welcome experienced garden designers with a diploma in garden design.

You'll have strong design skills and you'll understand how to conduct effective site analysis that translates into a coordinated design.

You'll have a good knowledge of planting and planting styles.

You'll be experienced in using 2D AutoCAD, InDesign, Sketch Up and Photoshop.

You'll be fluent in both spoken and written English.

You'll be organised, analytical and manage your time efficiently.

You'll have a competent understanding of planning legislation and how this relates to projects.

You'll have an in depth understanding of landscape construction techniques, construction programmes site processes, including monitoring construction work and site reporting.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days based in the office
