Job summary

Advance TRS is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to lead projects across landscape planning, assessment, design and technical delivery.

You will manage projects from inception to completion, liaise with clients and authorities, and mentor junior landscape staff.

The role requires a degree in Landscape Architecture, 5+ years' experience, and Chartered status or progress toward Chartership; UK-wide site visits are expected.

Qualifications

• A relevant Landscape Architecture degree and postgraduate qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant professional experience.
• Chartered status or actively working towards Chartership.
• Strong experience across both landscape planning and landscape design/technical delivery.
• Excellent knowledge of GLVIA3, landscape assessment and relevant planning policy.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, programmes and deadlines.
• Strong plant knowledge and an understanding of landscape construction.
• Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.
• Confidence dealing with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary consultants.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop and Microsoft Office.
• A proactive, organised and commercially aware approach.
• A willingness to undertake UK-wide site visits.

Responsibilities

• Leading landscape planning, assessment and design projects across multiple stages.
• Preparing LVIAs, LVAs, environmental assessment inputs and planning documentation.
• Developing landscape proposals, mitigation strategies and detailed hard and soft landscape designs.
• Producing technical drawings, specifications, management plans and construction information.
• Undertaking site surveys, inspections, implementation audits and snagging.
• Managing project programmes, budgets, deadlines and deliverables.
• Liaising confidently with clients, planning authorities, contractors and other consultants.
• Coordinating with related disciplines including arboriculture, ecology, BNG, transport and drainage.
• Reviewing project information and maintaining high standards of technical quality.
• Supporting and mentoring junior Landscape Architects.
• Contributing to business development, proposals and wider team development.

Advance TRS is working with an established specialist consultancy to recruit a Senior Landscape Architect to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Landscape Architect to take ownership of projects across landscape planning, assessment, design and technical delivery, working with clients and multidisciplinary project teams across a varied portfolio.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage projects from inception through to completion, combining strong landscape planning knowledge with practical design and technical capability.
