We are building a growing land referencing team with a strong track record for delivering quality services. Our leadership values positive responses to challenges and inclusive opinions. We seek a Land Referencing professional with industry experience who wishes to grow as a consultant in a supportive environment, with ample opportunities for development and professional growth.

Main Tasks:

  4. Inputting and maintaining data within the land system.
  5. Verifying and updating relevant mapping layers.
  6. Producing and quality checking legal documents such as order plans, books of reference, notices, and schedules.
  7. Conducting site visits for door knocking exercises and posting notices.
  8. Communicating clearly and compassionately with the public and clients.
  9. Managing client expectations, understanding programme and resource requirements, and allocating tasks to junior team members.
  10. Managing time sheets for juniors and assisting the project manager with end-of-month invoicing.
  11. Attending client/stakeholder meetings.

This description is not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned to ensure team and office efficiency.

What will it take to be successful?

Ideally, you will have a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in geography or planning, or extensive experience in producing books of reference, order plans, notices, and schedules, and managing junior team members. Knowledge of projects involving compulsory purchase (such as Transport and Works Act, CPO Act, and Planning Act) is advantageous. You must be a competent GIS user (preferably ArcGIS) capable of collecting, interpreting, and using land data.
