Job summary

The Cala Group Limited is seeking a Senior Land Manager to lead end-to-end origination, acquisition and delivery of high-quality land opportunities in the UK. The role involves coaching junior team members, supporting the Land Director with pipeline strategy, and presenting recommendations to the Cala Group Board.

You will manage complex negotiations, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and maintain robust governance around margins, ROCE and IRR.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior land acquisition or residential development.
• Strong commercial acumen with land appraisals and financial modelling.
• Experience delivering land strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Highly effective negotiator and relationship builder.
• Degree in Estate Management, Town Planning or related discipline; professional qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and appraise land parcels, manage end-to-end delivery from initial site identification to planning engagement.
• Lead project teams and coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Support annual land-acquisition strategy and report on KPIs, budgets, and risks.
• Prepare board papers, financial appraisals and site-recommendation papers for Group Board.
• Mentor and develop junior team members and drive best practice in deal structuring and risk assessment.
