Senior CAMHS LAC Professional lead-Band 7
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in Barking & Dagenham. Working with CAMHs and across targeted service to meet the significant needs of our looked after children population. making a difference to their lived experience and providing them with the tools to enter in to adult life healthy and well adapted.
The post holder will achieve this by ensuring best practice of clinical standards within the triage and pathway functions of community CAMHS service working closely with other health care professionals within the CAMHS multi-disciplinary team in line with the I-Thrive framework of supporting children and young people in delivering care and support.
The post holder will be a registered professional (nurse, social worker or allied health professionals) with experience of working with children in care. The post holder will be responsible for undertaking and supporting assessments and brief intervention for Looked After children within CAMHS triage capacity and working with and across the multi-disciplinary team and Multi Agency Partners.
They will ensure the delivery of the LAC care pathway and the prioritisation of the assessment of looked after children within CAMHS and in conjunction with the LAC team.
The Post holder will be expected to supervise students in their final year of placement within the service.
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement – London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum).
