Job summary

Version 1, a trusted technology and transformation partner, seeks a skilled software engineer to develop and evolve applications on AWS Cloud. You will work with Kotlin and Java, and use TypeScript/Node.js on GOV.UK Design System in a Scrum team.

You will apply CI/CD, SOLID/DRY, microservices, and integration patterns to deliver maintainable solutions, while collaborating with peers and growing your skills in an agile environment with flexible remote working options.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns including microservices and message-driven architectures.
• Experience with non-functional requirements and designing applications with them in mind.
• Experience with software design for digital services.
• Experience with code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and SOLID/DRY principles.
• Hands-on coding using TypeScript, Node, Express JS, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Experience in estimation and sizing.
• Integration experience.
• API design experience.
• Cloud experience.
• Interest in emerging AI technologies.
• Eligible for Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for clients using Kotlin and Java on AWS Cloud, following best practices.
• Use TypeScript and Node.js with the GOV.UK Design System on the project.
• Use Kubernetes and Docker to schedule and run services on AWS Cloud.
• Work as part of a Scrum Team with cross-functional skills in a modern Agile environment.
• Contribute to decisions about technology to create maintainable solutions for our customers.
• Participate in a highly collaborative group of software engineering professionals.
• Learn and develop your skills while becoming a rounded developer.

Salary: £49,000 - 66,000 per year

Requirements
