Job summary

DePuy Synthes in Leeds, UK is seeking a Senior Kinematics Test Engineer to contribute to the verification, validation, and risk assessment of medical implants and instruments for Kinimatic/Tribological applications. This hands-on role requires coordinating with R&D and Quality to ensure testability of requirements and to develop robust test methods.

The candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team, mentoring staff and possibly leading internal projects, while ensuring compliance with GMP/GDP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related engineering field.
• Minimum 4 years in the Medical Device industry.
• Experience with transducers and data acquisition systems.
• Experience with medical device joint simulators preferred.
• Strong statistical analysis and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform verification tests to support regulatory submissions and quality investigations.
• Develop test methods and validation protocols meeting complex requirements.
• Communicate findings and proposed resolutions to teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test protocols.
• Lead internal projects with a strong test/research focus.
• Contribute to design FMEAs and PFMEAs as needed.
• Support internal/external audits and ensure compliance.
