Job summary

Coventry City Council is seeking an experienced Senior Job Analyst to join our Employee Relations team on a fixed term contract for 12 months. You will provide expert analysis, conduct job evaluations and support strategic workforce decisions that affect thousands of employees.

Based on the NJC Job Evaluation Scheme, you will work with managers, HR colleagues and Trade Union representatives to deliver robust, equitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of job evaluation principles and methodology.
• Experience applying the NJC/ Green book factor definitions consistently.
• Strong analytical skills to analyse job descriptions and Job Evaluation Questionnaires objectively.
• Comfortable working with data and identifying patterns across roles/job families.
• Understands the importance of equal pay, consistency and auditability.
• Maintains accurate records and evidence trail.
