Job summary

Morgan Stanley's Equity Swaps Trading Technology team seeks a Senior Java/Scala Developer to enhance Scala-based processing engines for regulatory reporting in a capital markets context. The role covers front-to-back trade lifecycle, intraday and end-of-day reporting, and ongoing automation.

You'll work with a global agile squad, support compliance requirements, and collaborate with business users to translate needs into robust software.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelors in Computer Science / Maths / Engineering / Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong Java and Scala development skills with ability to learn Scala where needed.
• Experience with regulatory reporting or capital markets workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Join the Regulatory Reporting agile squad supporting Equity Swaps Trading tech and related portfolios.
• Develop and support Scala-based regulatory reporting systems in a capital markets environment.
• Build enhancements and fixes for intraday and end-of-day reporting with testing, releases, and production support.
• Own complex problems and deliver key features with stakeholder collaboration.
