Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking a senior engineer to own end-to-end, complex distributed systems—from UI through databases and data pipelines. You will design, build, and operate cloud-native microservices in Java 17/21 with Spring Boot, exposing well-versioned APIs and consuming front-ends in TypeScript.

This hands-on role requires daily coding, PR reviews, and mentoring while influencing architecture across squads.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong Java and Spring Boot.
• Production experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud provider.
• Hands-on front-end experience with Angular or React and TypeScript.
• Proficient with API-first development and OpenAPI.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
• Clear writing, ownership mindset, and a track record of mentoring

Responsibilities

• Design and build microservices in Java 17/21 with Spring Boot 3.x.
• Deliver REST APIs with OpenAPI, versioned and well-tested.
• Build front-ends in Angular/React with TypeScript.
• Model data in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Own CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions.
• Containerize with Docker and run on Kubernetes in cloud.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers.
