Royal London in Alderley Edge is seeking experienced Senior Java Developers to help build a new state-of-the-art investments platform over several years.

Join a team forming in Alderley Park with hybrid work 50% at home and 50% in the office, focusing on modernising technology, speed to market and cost efficiency.

You will work with enterprise Java, microservices, cloud hosting and containerisation, and TDD within an agile lifecycle, while mentoring others and driving best practices.

Qualifications

• Expert in enterprise Java development with Spring.
• Expert in REST API microservice development and event streaming.
• Expert in persistence and caching layers, NoSQL databases.
• Expert in cloud hosting and containerisation platforms.
• Expert in TDD and left-most automated testing.
• Experienced in low latency, highly performant, optimised runtimes.
• Experienced in agile development practices and the full software development lifecycle.
• Thrives with minimal supervision and naturally eager to lead and mentor others.
• Continuously developing new skills, driving best practice and standards.

Responsibilities

• Form new engineering capability in the Alderley Park office to deliver and maintain a new technology solution for our investment product offering.
