Job summary

DP World is seeking a Senior Developer to join CNS in Southampton, driving design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable software across our customs and logistics platforms. You’ll work with a cross-functional team to build robust systems in a fast-moving, enterprise environment.

This role emphasizes hands-on Java development with Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based practices, while mentoring others and contributing to architectural discussions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering enterprise Java applications.
• Strong knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational databases and complex queries.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and agile environments.
• Ability to mentor and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, efficient code following agreed standards.
• Collaborate with PMs, BAs, QA, IT operations, and other teams to ensure delivery.
• Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design workshops.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and improvements to development workflows.
• Contribute to agile delivery activities including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Mentor junior developers and promote a high-performing team culture.
