Job summary

CPS Group (UK) Limited in Cardiff is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join a growing software team. You will remain hands-on while mentoring others and contributing to scalable software solutions in an Agile setting.

Design, develop and own complex Java applications, mentor junior developers, contribute to architectural discussions and help lift engineering standards across the function. Hybrid working and a competitive package are on offer.

Qualifications

Strong commercial experience developing Java/Spring Boot applications.
Experience designing and delivering complex software solutions.
Relational database knowledge, ideally PostgreSQL.
Experience in Agile software development teams.
Mentoring developers through code reviews and guidance.
Focus on performance, scalability and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

Designing and developing complex Java applications using modern engineering practices.
Leading the delivery of key software features from design through to implementation.
Producing technical designs and documentation to support development.
Reviewing code and maintaining high engineering standards across the team.
