Job summary

Icon Solutions, located in Greater London, is looking for an experienced Software Engineer with a solid product engineering background. You will be pivotal in delivering a cutting-edge solution for real-time payment processing, working hands-on to solve complex challenges.

The ideal candidate should have strong JAVA skills, experience with asynchronous systems, and a background in Agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum. A willingness to participate in on-call support is also required.

Qualifications

• Experience in high availability/resilient distributed systems.
• Hands-on development of software applications.
• Previous experience with real-time messaging systems (incl. Kafka and JMS).

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in product engineering, following TDD and BDD.
• Writing high quality code within established development standards.
• Contributing to design decisions and technical discussions.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Skills

Strong JAVA 11+ skills

Reactive Programming Experience with Spring

Understanding of asynchronous request handling

Experience of event sourced/driven solutions

Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment processes

Agile delivery experience (Kanban/Scrum)

Fluent in Spanish
