A leading payments consultancy is seeking a Senior Software Product Engineer in London. This role involves designing high-availability systems for instant payments and requires strong experience in Java, Reactive Programming, and event-driven architecture. You will collaborate within Agile teams and contribute to architecture decisions in a fast-paced environment. The position offers hybrid working with one day onsite each week.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 11+ (ideally Java 17).
• Solid knowledge of Reactive Programming (e.g., Spring WebFlux, AKKA).
• Experience with real-time messaging systems (Kafka, JMS).

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, high-availability systems processing millions of real-time transactions.
• Collaborate within Agile teams (Kanban/Scrum).
• Contribute to architectural decisions in a fast-evolving codebase.
