eFinancialCareers in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join our payments technology team. You will work on large-scale transformation programmes delivering cloud-native, microservices-based payment platforms for financial services clients.

You will develop, test and maintain high-availability payment systems, collaborate with architects and client teams, and contribute to engineering best practices in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Java development.
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices-based architectures.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies.
• Experience working with Apache Kafka and event-driven systems.
• Understanding of payment processing and ISO 20022 standards.
• Experience working within complex financial services environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Developing and enhancing large-scale payment processing solutions.
• Building cloud-native applications using modern Java technologies and microservices architectures.
• Working closely with architects, engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
