eFinancialCareers in Bristol is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join our payments technology team, delivering large-scale transformation programmes for major financial institutions. You will help shape the technical roadmap and work across squads to implement secure, scalable payment platforms that meet evolving regulatory and architectural standards.

You’ll develop cloud-native applications with Java, Spring Boot and microservices, using Kafka for event-driven processing and aligning with ISO

• Strong Java development experience in commercial projects.
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven systems.
• Understanding of payment processing and ISO 20022 standards.
• Experience in complex financial services environments.
• Proven stakeholder management and communication skills.
