Job summary

Anson McCade Pty in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Java Engineer to deliver large-scale payment solutions for major banking clients. You will develop with Java, Spring Boot, microservices and integrate ICON IPF framework in cloud-based AWS environments.

Strong knowledge of ISO 20022 payments and event-driven architectures with Kafka is required. You will collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Java 11 experience.
• Spring Boot and microservices architectures experience.
• Hands-on AWS experience.
• Kafka and asynchronous messaging experience.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 20022 payments.
• Hands-on ICON IPF experience.
• Proven experience working with major banking clients.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• 18+ months’ experience working on the ICON platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver large-scale payment solutions using Java, Spring Boot and microservices.
• Work hands-on with the ICON IPF Payments framework.
• Build and integrate cloud-based payment architectures within AWS.
• Design and develop asynchronous, event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Apply strong knowledge of ISO 20022 payments, including payment types and schemes.
• Work closely with major banking clients to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Contribute to modernisation and transformation of large-scale payment platforms.
