Job summary

Anson McCade is seeking an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join a leading global consulting and technology organisation. The role focuses on large-scale payment transformation programmes within the banking sector, delivering cloud-based payment architectures and scalable payment platforms.

You will work hands-on with Java 11, Spring Boot, microservices, AWS, and the ICON IPF Payments framework, collaborating with major banking clients to implement ISO 20022 payment standards and asynchronous

Qualifications

6+ years commercial Java experience, including Spring Boot and microservices.
Extensive hands-on ICON IPF experience — essential.
Strong experience with AWS cloud environments.
Solid understanding of ISO 20022 payments, schemes and types.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver large-scale payment solutions using Java and cloud technologies.
Work hands-on with the ICON IPF Payments framework.
Design, develop and maintain microservices-based architectures.
Build and integrate payment services using Java 11 and Spring Boot.
Develop and support cloud-based solutions within AWS environments.
Implement asynchronous messaging using Apache Kafka.
Collaborate with banking clients and stakeholders across environments.
Contribute to scalable payment platforms and transformation programmes.
