Job summary

Oliver Bernard is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing technology team on a 12-month contract in London. The role focuses on designing, developing and delivering high-quality Java applications within a complex, enterprise-scale environment.

You will work with engineers, architects and product teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions, with strong emphasis on Spring Boot, RESTful APIs and microservices in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Java.
• Proven experience as a Senior Java Developer.
• Strong knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Strong knowledge of automated testing and software engineering best practices.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working within large-scale or enterprise technology environments.
• 12-month engagement with a major organisation.
• Hybrid working – 2 days per week in London.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver high-quality Java applications in an enterprise-scale environment.
