Job summary

Wise is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II for the Contacts Team in London to own backend solutions powering the recipient management experience. You will help scale distributed Java services and design robust RESTful APIs that users rely on daily.

In a fast-moving, cross-functional environment, you’ll collaborate with designers, product managers, and analysts, applying TDD, code reviews, and best practices to deliver high-impact features for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Years of Java 8+ knowledge.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases and query optimization.
• Strong product mindset and customer-centric decision making.
• Experience designing, deploying and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Commitment to coding best practices and code reviews.
• Experience with Test Driven Development.
