eFinancialCareers, in partnership with a leading global consultancy, is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join a specialist payments engineering team delivering large-scale transformation programmes across the banking sector.

You will develop enterprise payment processing solutions, build cloud-native apps with Java and Spring Boot, and operate in AWS environments. The role covers modern payment solutions, Kafka-based eventing, and ISO 20022 standards across UK and European projects.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Java development.
• Expertise in Spring Boot and microservices-based architectures.
• Experience working within AWS cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging solutions.
• Strong understanding of ISO 20022 payments standards.
• Hands-on experience with the ICON IPF framework.
• Experience working with major banking or financial services organisations.
