Job summary

Caspian One is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a strategic regulatory-change programme for the T+1 settlement initiative in investment banking. The role touches post-trade systems across UK and European markets, delivering scalable Java-based solutions and modern architecture.

You will collaborate with technology, operations, settlements and regulatory stakeholders to design, build and migrate critical trade processing platforms, enabling faster settlement and enhanced controls.

Qualifications

• Experience building distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration and messaging technologies.
• Experience working within investment banking or capital markets environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop strategic Java applications supporting the T+1 settlement programme
• Deliver enhancements across post-trade, settlement and trade processing platforms
• Work closely with business analysts, operations teams and technology stakeholders
• Build scalable event-driven and microservices-based solutions
• Contribute to system design, architecture and technical direction
• Support testing, migration and implementation activities associated with regulatory change
