Job summary

Interface Recruitment is seeking a Principal Java Developer for a hybrid role in the Life Sciences domain. You will design and implement software applications across desktop, web and cloud platforms, while acting as the technical lead for cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong experience in Java, Spring, Angular and modern web technologies, with a focus on scalable, secure and high-availability solutions. Collaboration with architects and teams across the organisation is essential.

Qualifications

• Background in software engineering, software design or database design and architecture.
• Knowledge of SDLC in an Agile environment.
• Experience in web-application development with Java, Spring, Angular, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with CI/CD and code repositories (Git).
• Ability to design for cloud-based environments (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software applications/components for Life Sciences domain (desktop/web/cloud).
• Act as technical contact for product team members and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain best practices and standards to improve software quality.
• Ensure SDLC guidelines are followed and aligned with internal standards and policies.
• Coach and mentor Software Delivery team members and contribute to communities of practice.
• Identify opportunities and drive improvements in technology and delivery.
